Phew! I’m finally updating this blog – after some technical difficulties with word press! 🙂 oh well.
Earlier this month, we explored the capital building inside and out. It was probably the coldest day in November – but she rallied. I love the shots under the ginkgo tree. Beautiful!
Well we did it!
Last week Katy & I swam through the creek in the attempt to shoot a “floating dress in the water”. Alas, the water was high & fast, and the dress sank. This week fortified with my Oma’s vintage orange chiffon dress & 30 feet of sparkly orange tule; we conquered the creek! (It really helped that the water was about 2 feet lower this time. 😉 )
Katy & I braved the cold water and slippery rocks. It was still dark as ever. The sun slipped away the instant we pulled into the parking lot. Cest La Vie. We made it happen 🙂 Katy looks positively fairy like. I, on-the-other-hand, looked like a complete idiot racing around the water, hopping from rock to rock, with two giant cameras … I can’t wait to see Katy’s mom’s pictures of our photo shoot. But, thankfully, it doesn’t matter how silly I look. Katy looks amazing.
Meet Katy! Yreka High’s 2012 Senior Rep.
Katy & I met last night at Lithia Park on a dark (yet thankfully not stormy) evening. We spent an amusing 2 hours searching for the light; getting thorns in our fingers, avoiding poison oak, and getting stung by a wasp … my elbow still hurts. And – we braved the ice cold creek for a photo attempt! Phew.
But, disaster it was not! Katy braved the elements, and was her own source of light. She looks positively radiant in, possibly, the cutest series of outfits I’ve seen. (I tried to steal the flowered hat, but my ethics kicked in … or Katy was on to me 😉 ) Katy is an aspiring singer … keep your eye out for her … and wish her luck for a great senior year!
I look forward to seeing Katy next week, for round two of the “floating dress in the water shoot” … keep checking back here to see the latest!
Meet Trevor ! South Medford High’s 2012 senior rep.
We spent an awesome three hours exploring my property in Applegate valley. The light was on our side, must be Trevor’s luck; it followed him around like a halo. All the better to capture Trevor’s captivating blue-green eyes. We were assisted by the lovely Sarah, Senior rep for Hidden Valley 😉 (Thanks Sarah)
Trevor serenaded us with the violin – oh wait, no he didn’t. Camera shy he is not – a little too shy to play violin on the fly? Yup. 🙂 No worries, we totally believe he’s an excellent violin player …
Trevor is looking forward to his senior year, studying spanish & participating in the chamber orchestra. He’s studying to be either a surgeon or … a model. Hmm. I think he has the “model” thing down. Don’t you? Good luck Trevor in your senior year!
We rocked out last week at her awesome house in Applegate Valley. Instruments & animals are everywhere – it’s a veritable paradise! Sarah is a true spirit. I’ve never seen so many posters in one room! It’s outstanding. I won’t mention the life-sized Justin Bieber cutout in her room – oh wait, I just did 😉 She’s an aspiring actress & an accomplished musician. I wish her all the best in, what surely will be, an excellent senior year!
